COADE PV Fabricator works in either imperial or metric and comes with powerful
parametric modeling capabilities. This allows for the quick and accurate
development of fully editable 3D models of pressure vessels and heat exchangers.
From these designers can develop complete fabrication deliverables of their
pressure vessels and exchangers by using the in-built tools that have been
designed to automate the detail production process.
Links to Analysis
Although the tools in PV Fabricator allow for quick and accurate 3D modeling,
the true power of the package is delivered when it is linked to COADE PV Elite.
When this link is used PV Fabricator creates a 3D model complete with all of the
analysis data available in PV Elite. This feature increases the benefits of
engineering and design integration and removes the wasted time and the
introduction of mistakes that come from task duplication.
Using Existing Drawings and Blocks
What sets PV Fabricator apart is its ability to make use of an unlimited number
of a company’s existing library of drawing details, notes etc. The Block Library
manager handles the heavy lifting of using and maintaining links to blocks from
various locations or even existing drawings. Even block attributes can be
pressed into service and linked to PV Elite data for accurate population of text
and information for any linked detail.
Easy Customization
Intuitive dialogs let users set styles for each type of item that will appear on
their drawings. The representation of notes, call outs, weld symbols, title
blocks, name plates, bills of materials, nozzle schedules and dimensions can all
be set for any project or client requirement.
Bills of Material
PV Fabricator lets users take linked PV Elite data to create accurate BOM’s for
inclusion in their fabrication drawings. A simple drag and drop dialog makes
this important and often tedious task easy, flexible and extremely accurate. As
an added bonus these BOM’s can be exported to spreadsheets or industry standard
databases as an aid to procurement.
Editing and Modification
Because items can be linked to analysis this makes modification or editing a
breeze and not a mistake ridden chore! Changes in the model are instantly
reflected in the drawing. PV Elite changes for say a nozzle size or material
thickness are also reflected in the model. And, as with all changes, they are
all instantly updated in the BOM. Editing was never easier or more accurate!
