NEW SOFTWARE RELEASES ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ COMPRESS Build 6193 can be downloaded from http://www.codeware.com/dl/build6193.exe. This build is for licenced users of COMPRESS, and contains mainly corrections for the TEMA and ASME heat exchanger modules. Contact us for an unlock password. ALLPRO (includes AXI PRO and NOZZLE PRO) Paulin Research has released their new software called ALLPRO, which combines the NozzlePro software (used for FE analysis of nozzles), as well as the AxiPro software (used for FE analysis of Flanges, and flange leakage calculations). More information will be forthcoming in our November newsletter. CAD SOFTWARE NEWS ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Bentley Systems Inc. recently acquired Rebis Software, the developers of the AutoPlant range of Plant Design software. Bentley Systems previously supplied Microstation-based (.dgn) Plant Design software (PlantSpace), whereas Rebis supplied Autocad-based (.dwg) Plant Design Software. Although Bentley has indicated that they will continue developing software for both platforms, they will do so without the technical and marketing support of Autodesk, and will not be permitted to make use of Autodesk's OEM program. This is most likely because Bentley Systems is perceived to be a competitor to Autodesk. Autodesk has now thrown their full weight behind providing support for CADWORX/PIPE, the Autocad-based 3D Plant Design solution from COADE Inc, that has a bidirectional interface to the CAESAR II Pipe Stress Analysis software. Cadworx/Pipe already has a significant portion of the international 3D Plant Design market, and COADE are fully committed to providing ongoing development of this Autocad-based software.
