NEW SOFTWARE RELEASES

CHEMCAD 5.0 Chemstations has released Version 5 of this
process flowsheet simulator software. New graphics, PFD,
plotting and engineering features have been included with this
release. All users who are current with their Maintenance
Agreements will be sent new CD+manual in due course, but in
the meantime users who are "current" may download this new
version (30Mb!) from Internet web address
http://www.chemstations.net. Users will need to contact us
for a password BEFORE downloading. In order to use CHEMCAD 5,
your Licensing system (Dongle, NetSentinel Dongle, System
Authorization Number, or License Manager) will need to be
updated, please contact us in this regard.
VISIO TECHNICAL 2000. This is a very useful Process
Engineering tool for producing P&ID's, Process Flow Diagrams
and Equipment Spec Sheets. The software comes with 350
Smartshape symbols for Pipes, Fittings, Valves, Vessels,
Instrumentation, Process Equipment, Electricals etc. Other
shapes can be user defined or imported and converted from
existing Autocad shape libraries.
Symbols are easily joined together using the Connection Tool,
and produce process or instrumentation lines that are linked
to a central database. The lines can be automatically
annotated with data brought in from the database, which also
links to the process equipment items. Automatic equipment
lists can be generated and exported to spreadsheets or word
processors. The program can import or export Autocad .dwg
files from Autocad 2.5 through Autocad 2000, and also .dgn
files from Microstation.
The best part about VISIO TECHNICAL 2000 is its affordable price
